Description

Collagen+ helps dogs stay healthy, active, and mobile. Collagen contains the building blocks dogs need for the maintenance of joints and ligaments. Collagen participates in the regeneration of tissue around the joint, such as tendons, muscle attachments, and ligaments. Collagen is involved in the regeneration of joint cartilage.

COLLAGEN+ uses a Bioactive collagen complex (marine + bovine) consisting of:

• Collagen Type 1: Most widespread, making up 80-90% of the total amount of collagen found in skin, coat, bones, tendons, and ligaments, among other things.
• Collagen Type 2: Found in joint cartilage, and plays an important role in maintaining mobility.
• Collagen Type 3: Found in muscles, arteries, blood vessels, connective tissue, organs, skin, and coat, among other things.
  
  The formation of collagen is a natural process, but collagen production decreases with age. For the body to be able to form collagen, it requires the presence of, among other things:
  
  Silica:
  - Essential and stimulates fibroblasts (a component of connective tissue that regulates the tissue's natural balance).
  - Helps reduce the natural breakdown of collagen, strengthens structure and elasticity.
  
  Vitamin C:
  - Necessary for the maintenance and formation of collagen.
  - Vitapetz uses Camu Camu fruit extract from Peru, which is one of the richest sources of Vitamin C that nature has to offer.
  
  COLLAGEN+ also contains:
• Hyaluronic acid - important for joint function. Acts as a lubricant and shock absorber in the joints.
• MSM - contributes to joint function and keratin production (coat and nails).
• Shellfish extract contains glucosamino-glycans (GAGs) that contribute to connective tissue, cartilage, and joint function.
• Boswellia contributes to maintaining well-functioning joints. Supports the heart, the hormonal system, and mental/cognitive function.
• Calcium is an important part of bones, teeth, muscles, and nerve function. We use a special "calcium-collagen" complex (marine Hydroxyapatite), which has 6 times higher absorption than calcium typically used in supplements. Contributes to maintenance, and is a natural component of bones/bone tissue, teeth, and tooth enamel.

Recommended daily dosage: ½ - 1 measuring spoon (1.5-3.0g.) daily per 10kg body weight or as needed.  

Storage: Keep packaging sealed and store at room temperature or below.
